Thanks for replying Cass. I'm still a little confused. My father Leland Carl Reasor and mother visited all the relatives down in the Olinger, Big Stone Gap,and Pennington Gap in mid 1954 or 55. My dad was born in Olinger, Va. in 1904. He wrote down some family history from the people there and I think it came from their bibles etc. His first note starts with Daniel "Franklin" Reasor-died 1840. Then goes on to James Henderson Reasor, died Feb 28, 1878. Then John Hopkins Reasor(my dad says is his uncle) etc. My line is father: Leland Carl Reasor, grandfather: Daniel Franklin Reasor, great grandfather: John Henderson Reasor, great, great grandfather: Daniel Franklin or Sheffy Reasor.
I don't know who exactly my father got the information from their in Va. as I understand they stayed with several relatives while I was overseas in service. Maybe somebody else may have some info on the middle name too. Thanks again for the reply and I'm sorry I'm so far away that makes it difficult to get together.
