Sharon,

I am Daniel Reaney's Brother, David. The Reaney name for our branch is scotch-Irish. I visited Ireland in October 2002 and traced our branch of the family as Dan Mentioned to County Tyrone. In the 1850's it appears that our ancestors were Presbyterians but I can't say what they were before that. Our branch of the family emigrated to Pennsylvania first, then Iowa. Following that at least one of the group went to Oregon and others to California. Dan and I grew up in California and much of the family is still there. I now live in Mobile Alabama.
