Yes, I have seen the Illinois Marriage Records. Archie and Jeanette Reaney are my ancestors. (I even have their photos with my parents, Leland Ernest and Rose SINEY REANEY. My father was the son of their son, Leslie Ernest REANEY.) I know that the John and William REANEY entries in McLean County are brothers to my Archibald Eldred REANEY (the one born in Illinois in 1855), Nancy REANEY MCCRACKEN was their sister, and oral history told to me by my Great Aunt Bernice REANEY VARNER (daughter of Archie and Jeanette)verifies a brother named Samuel REANEY. I don't know and haven't seen documentation or personally heard family history for any other brothers, but I think the James REANEY line that has been researched by others is valid. I don't know anything about a Mark REANEY or a Percy REANEY.

Please let me know when you have documentation of the relationship. Perhaps the marriage record will tell you Mark's parents. Or you might find the family together in an Illinois or Iowa Census. My Archie and Jeanette REANEY lived in Lexington, IL, and then moved to TN where they are buried. Apparently Samuel and James REANEY moved to Iowa with the elder Archibald REANEY, or they were born there. My Great Aunt Bernice talked about Archibald the elder living comfortably well-off in Iowa.
