My grandmother was a Ragan. Our Ragan ancestor was Brice Ragan, brother of the Phillip Ragan that you mentioned in your posting. Many people believe that Brice Ragan died in 1777, but we have records from the Rev. War proving that he was alive and well after that date. He was discharged in 1781. Recent DNA tests from our Ragan line prove that he was descended from the same line as Phillip Reagan of PA. Phillip was discharged in PA, according to his Rev. War pension application, but was born in VA. Donald Reagan, who wrote a book on the Ragans, is also from this same line. I know that Brice Ragan was also in Fayette Co., PA for a few years, but he was in GA by 1803 or 1804, and had been in GA prior to going to PA. Brice died in GA between late 1827 and the census in 1830. I would love to have a copy of the information that you have on Phillip Reagan, and I will send you my research on Brice Ragan if you are interested.
