If Francis Marion Reagan, b. 4 Oct 1846 is the same as my Francis M. Reagan who married Vianna M. McKinsey on 12 Jul 1865 in Clinton Co., Indiana, then he would be my third cousin 4 times removed.

I have Joseph Emmet Reagan, b. 1812-1815, as his father, Rezin Reagan b. 7 Jul 1777, as his grandfather, Thomas Reagan b 6 May 1749 as his greatgrandfather, and Rezin Reagan b. 5 Dec 1720 great-great, and Timothy Reagan b 1678 in Ireland. Some of my information comes from the Mckinsey book that I mentioned, some from census records, some from the Rev. War Pension application for Thomas Reagan, and some from other Reagan postings.

If all this is so, then my ancestor Reason Reagan, b. abt 1751 was Thomases brother. It would probably explain why Thomas asked George McKinsey, my 5th greatgrandfather, to vouch for his service in the Revolution, because George's son Mordecai married Catherine Reagan, who was Thomases niece. Does this all sound O.K. to you?

Thank you for your information. Did I ever send you an e-mail of my translation of Thomas Reagan's Rev. War Pension papers? My Reason Reagan and Thomas Reagan were both in the Newberry, So. Car. census at one time.
