I need some help with sorting out my pedigree:
The issue arose when the rootsweb page stated that my ancestor James Buchanon Reeder was the son of William Reeder and thus grandson of Thomas Reader, but all the genealogies of the Robert Reader line that I've seen have James listed as the son of Thomas, and thus brother of William, but the issue with that is, given the birth date that James was born, Thomas would have been beyond 80 years old when he fathered James, which I find quite odd if at all possible, or do I belong to a completely different line? I'm searching for the line of the Overton County Tennessee Reeder's, my great grandfather being Talford Manus Reeder married to Bessy Burgess.
