Sorry, but I know little about Esdras REED and Wm REED of Woburn.

The two READE/READ/REED complied genealogies by J. W. Reed (1861) and J. L. Reed (1902) contain many errors about the early immigrants to the USA with that surname. Their statements are unreliable.

I understand that the NEHGS in Boston, MA, has published (or plans to publish) the results of some recent, careful research on several early READE/READ/REEDs as a part of their "The Great Migration" project. This work updates the post-1910 research published in The Reade Record. You can purchase their work. See:
