In looking over your work, I was confused. Then I rechecked mine and anothers and find the following: John Read married Sarah Lessie in England. There children were William, Abigail, John, Thomas, Samuel, Sarah,, Ezekial& Zacharia (twins), Moses, Mary, Elizabeth, Daniel, Israel and Mehittabell.
Now for Samuel: b. 1643 at Rehoboth, Mass.
d. 12 Jan 1717/8 at Mendn, Mass.
Mar 1st -- Hopestill Holbrook b. ? d. 12 Jan 1705/6 at Mendon, Mass.
Mar 2nd - Hannah ? b. d. 24 Jan 1716/7.
Children -- : Samuel, Mary, Ebenezer (my line), John, Sarah and Josiah. All by 1st wife.
Then this Samuel -- b. 1668 at Mendon, Mass. d. 14 Feb 1725 at Mendon, Mass.
buried at Old Mendon Burying Ground.
He was married twice:
1st to Deborah Chapin b. 12 Feb 1675 d. 9 Apr 1702. -- mar. 8 July 1693
Children -- : Mary, Deborah and Hopestill (b. 1 Apr 1698 d. 16 Mar 1762)
2nd to Abigail White -- mar. 7 Jan 1703/4.
Children -- : (Lt.) John, Abigail, Samuel, Ebenezer, Abigail, Daniel, Abigail, Thomas. Sarah, Hannah, and Abigail. (they were determined to have a daughter named Agigail who live to adulthood.)
---- This Samuel's Will is dated 5 Feb 1724.
You had John, Samuel, Hopestill when it should be John, Samuel, Samuel, Hopestill
Hopestill Read (dau. of Samuel and Deborah Chapin Read) b. 1 Apr. 1698 at Mendon and d. 16 Mar 1762. She mar. 9 Apr 1722 at Mendon, Mass. to William Holebrook
The lady I got some of this from even took photos of gravestones of Thomas Read, d. 1739, Hopestill Read 'Dyed January the 12 - 1705 (or 1706), Samuel Read d. Jan 12, 1717, Deborah Read d. 9 Apr 1702, Samuel Read d. 14 feb 1724/5 --- all at the Old Mendon Burial Ground, Mendon, Mass.
