It is 491 pages of anything to do with the surname and it's variations found in libraries and archives and from other sources.
All sources are well documented, and include:
* abstracts of deeds,
* actual deed copies,
* wills,
* cemetery records,
* charts,
* Revolutionary War pension card copies,
* marriages,
* bounty land grants,
* census records
Concentration is in Virginia with records from the following counties:
* Bedford,
* Brunswick,
* Henry,
* Pittsylvania,
* Fincastle,
* Amherst,
* Buckingham,
* Nelson,
* Albemarle,
* Montgomery,

* and others
Also includes information concerning states of North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee and others.
Important sources include Virginia Magazine of History and Biography, Federal Land Series, Early Adventurers on the Western Waters, Virginia Will Records, Abstracts of Rev. War Pension Files, to name a few.
