I wish I could do that, myself, but I'm afraid it's going to be quite some time, if ever. Well, after reading the whole article, I've concluded that Roulston was correct in saying that David Rea's son Matthew was, in fact, Matthew Rea of Drumbo, the emigration agent. Hi evidence was pretty weak, until I got to the part where he mentions the letter from Edward Moore to Arthur Annesley, Esq: "There is one particular farm you will see in [the] Rent Roll under the title of Widow of Hugh Rea, to which two-thirds of Magheraknock Mill are added, which I would wish in patricular to be surveyed. It is now held by one Matthew Rea, a brother to the above widow's husband, who got into it and holds it not very fairly, as I am informed. As to the payment of his rent, he is punctual, and has made money in exporting our Protestants to America to people the lands of a brother of his and others who went there some time ago, and for whom he was a sort of slave factor [the 'agent' here has been crossed out]. This man does not live on the lands he holds, but but set the to a number of poor people at double rent, as I have reason to believe; and what provoked me most of all was that he to prevent their coming in to bid for the lands, when I called in the proposals sent over last spring, took bonds from them, all with a penalty annexed, in case they bid for their lands - this I heard from a neighouring tenant, and the example appeared to me so black and villainous, that I not only charged him with it, but told him I would represent it. This he answered by threats, that he knew when to apply as well as I did, and would be [-?] with me. I shall leave the rest to your better judgement, Sir, and follow your instructions." I think this, alone, proves that David Rea's son was Matthew Rea of Drumbo and that would mean that this line is NOT related to me at all, as one of the members of my Rea Surname DNA Project is a documented descendant of Matthew Rea of Drumbo and is also one of seven members who descends from William Rea of Drumskee (1680-1785). My DNA doesn't even come close to matching this line. So, if nothing else, at least you've helped me to rule out the Reas of Magheranock and Killeen. Thanks, June!
