Hi Lyn,
I did some research on Joseph Rea and family of Madison Co. and I don't think his daughter Elizabeth is my Elizabeth.
As you pointed out, his bio states that Elizabeth married a Richard Wilson, blacksmith and moved to Indiana late in life.In the 1820 census of Madison Co, OH, I find a Richard M. Wilson listed next to Joseph Rea.In the 1830 census, I find Montgomery Wilson listed in the same Twp. in place of Richard M.
Also, the Madison Co history states that an early settle in the county was Montgomery Wilson, a blacksmith.I think Richard and Montgomery are the same person.
My John Wilson (spelled Willson sometimes) is listed in boththe 1820 and and 1830 census of Logan Co, OH.My gr gr great grandmother was born there in 1824.Also, the fact that John and Elizabeth's first daughter was named Priscilla/Percilla still makes me think Benjamin and Priscilla are the parents.
I'm not sure if there are any other estate documents for Benjamin other than the inventory, but if so there may be mention of heirs. Also, I hope to check land records, as many times the heirs had to signoff when land was sold.
I don't know when I'll ever get back to Logan Co., but maybe I can find someone there to check the records.
I also notice a Ninian and Benjamin Nichols / Nickels in the early census records of Logan Co.Priscilla Rea's maiden name was Nichols, so there may be a connection there as well.
If you ever come accross any more leads on the Benjamin Rea children, I would be grateful to hear about them.
Thanks again for your help,
Kris
