Maybe a long shot, but I'll try anyway.
I have a William REA ancestor, born 1791 in North Carolina.I've found William and Mary (GIBSON) REA/RAY in Giles and Lawrence Counties, Tennessee in the early 1800's.
I've hit a brick wall trying to find any of William's siblings or parents.
According to an 1888 Goodspeed sketch about one of William's sons, James Moore REA, it states that William REA was "born in North Carolina, but left that State with his widowed mother and her large family of children, and settled in Wilson County, Tenn."Also, it states that William's parents "were both born in Ireland, and shortly after their marriage immigrated to this country, where the grandfather enlisted in the Revolutionary War."
Is Nathan REA possibly a brother of William REA?
Thanks for any assistance.
