Hello Johnathan
Johnathan Sheesley was born 7 November 1814 and died 3 February 1887 and was buried in Row 8, in the Raysor Cemetery located in Harrisburg Pa. His tombstone records his birth and death and has the inscription “ His Trust Was In The Lord” His father Rev. Abraham Sheesley 1787-1871 and his mother are also buried next to him in row 8. His mother Catharine’s stone said “ Catherine his wife 1791-1874” and is beside the Rev’s grave.
Johnathan married Catharine Raysor. She was born 30 January 1818 in Dauphin Co. PA and died 24 September 1883. She was the daughter of John Raysor and Susanna nee Fackler Raysor. Catherine was buried alongside her husband as “Catharine Sheesley born Jan 30, 1818 died Sept 24, 1883, Gone Home”.
Their son Samuel R. Sheesley is also in the same row dated 1846-1911 and his wife Clara Louise 1858-1921. The son Ivan C. son of Samuel & Clara L Sheesley Jan 8, 1879 Apr 12, 1882 as per their stones, and all in Row 8.
The dates are from the tombstone.
John Raysor’s wife Susan in Row 2. Her tombstone reads Susan Raysor died October 2, 1890 age 93 yrs. 3 mons and 7 days and also “ A precious one from us has gone, A mother we loved is stilled,A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled”. She was buried next to John b. February 17, 1783 and his father John that was born December 11, 1760, and died 1841. All in the Raysor cemetery. And they as Susan are in Row 2.
