I appreciate your lead and date & location of the marriage of one James Alfred Rayson. I will check it out with the census, GPO, etc. For your Rayson data file, I am happy to share this information re JAMES WILLIAM RAYSON, his son:-

Born: Sept. 26, 1884, Kensington (info from cemetery record)
Parents: father - James Alfred Rayson; mother unknown
Died: July 22, 1961, Montreal, Canada
Buried: Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal
Married: Lillian Adelaide Sullivan, Nov. 12, 1943, in Montreal (daughter of Robert Henry Sullivan & Livynia McConnell). Lillian and James had no children.

Believe this was James' 2nd marriage as he was listed as 'widower' when they married. He may have had a daughter, May, born in his 1st marriage. Also, he may have been adopted by James Alfred Rayson. I have not yet determined what year James William Rayson emigrated to Canada.

Please advise if you learn of another Rayson surname researcher interested in this family line. Thanks, Alice
