John Crawshaw Raynes b 28 April 1887

This may be of interest to others. I found this whilst doing research but have yet to discover if he was one of my relatives directly:

John Crawshaw Raynes born 28th April 1887 in Sheffield. Battery Sergeant Major in the 'A' Battery Royal Field Artillery. Awarded the Victoria Cross in France on 11th October 1915. London gazetted on 18th November 1915. The VC is displayed and held at the Royal Artillery Museum, Woolwich in London, UK as far as I know.

John died in Leeds on 12th November 1929 and was buried in the city's Harehills Cemetery.
