Chester Co PA & Switzerland Co IN Rayls/Rayles
.. and others, including North Carolina, Ohio and Kansas Rayls.
We now have three living male Rayls who have results or are waiting for results of 37-marker Y-DNA tests with Family Tree DNA. Due to the previous lack of Rayls being tested, we've been thrown into the "Roy" surname project.
If anyone out there is interested in being tested, I'd really like to have our own Rayl surname project soon. Having a larger database of Rayls would give us an idea of our relationships and the mutation rates from common ancester William Rayl b. 1710 Chester Co, PA.
I also have my uncle's results for his haplogroup: R1b1a2aqaqb3c) and did the Family Finder (recent cousins) test.
Anyone interested in joining a Rayl surname project? FT-DNA's 37-marker test is $169. They are no longer offering 12- and 25-marker tests. You must be of a male descendant from father to son to grandson, etc.
