I just got your message on my E-mail, and I will try to give as much info as possible.
John Carter and Mary Ann had seven children that I know of, and he and Nancy had five.
You say they had six. Interesting... I went to Ellington, Missouri last Sunday and after much searching I found Buffington Cemetery. Indeed John, Mary Ann, and Nancy are buried there. Just behind Nancy's grave is a little stone that has a boy's name and Rayfield on the bottom. This could be the sixth! I did not write any of this down at the time, because I was taking pictures. Needless to say, when I took them to get developed they were all bad. I am going to try and go back in June. With a good camera.
Elizabeth was one of Margaret Susan's sisters. I don't know where she is buried yet, but her Brothers Walter and Edward are buried in Louisiana. She had a third brother, James Richard. I have no dates yet.
I'll write more when I find out.
