Hi John and others - I've just stumbled across this genealogy forum - I'm not searching my family tree at the moment but I couldn't help noticing your comment re: Rayfield's in England.

I'm from North Yorkshire, and the Rayfield side of my family have lived in North Yorkshire since at least 1910. My grandfather's family moved to the area from West Hartlepool around the turn of the century, if not before (I'm not sure of the exact dates off the top of my head).
