Looking for info. on Ann Rawls & William, George, George S., and Claudius Rawls of Marion Co., S.C. & Wilcox Co., Al., & Warren Co., Mississippi.

On 1 July 1805 William, George & Claudius Rawls received a 1,000 acre grant on the West side of the Pee Dee River in Marion Co., S.C.
On April 2, 1810 Claudius Rawls sold his 333 acre part to John Gibson. This is when Claudius Rawls and his wife Ann moved to Warren County, Mississippi. Both Cladius Rawls and Elizabeth left wills there, his dated 1835 and hers 1856.
Claudius named sons ISAAC, JAMES, WILLIAM & CLAUDIUS, which suggest that he was descended from Isaac, Sr. or James Rawls.
These RAWLS had a close relationship to Benjamin & Willis Rawls.

The 1810 census of Marion District, S.C. list the following.
Ann Rauls, males 1 <10, 1 10-16, females 1 45+
John Rauls, m's, 1 10-16, 2 16-26, 1 26-45,
f. 1 10-16, 1 26-45
George Rauls, m. 1 16-26, no females
Wm. Rauls, m. 1 26-44, f. 1 <5, 1 26-44
George Rauls, m. 1 26-45, no females.

William Rawls' daughter Eliza married Thomas H. TART.

Ann Rawls was an heir to Henry C. Legett and may? have been his daughter.

I have more on these families and want to exchange information.
lets talk
