Hello all RAWLS and associated researchers.
I am looking for any info. on the Rawls of the above South Carolina Counties and of Simpson-Smith-Amite-Marion-Copiah-Hinds Counties, Mississippi and Wilcoc County, Alabama.

Benjamin Rawls along with Marmaduke Rawls were in Bladen County, North Carolina and both received land grants in the Drowning Creek area of Marion County, South Carolina in the 1780's. Benjamin was listed on the 1790 Census of Prince Georges Township, Georgetown County, S.C. with 1 male over 16, 2 under 16 & 4 females. Ten on the 1800 census of Marion District, Liberty County, S.C. with 7 males and 3 females in his household.

I have much on this family. The last record I have of Benjamin Rawls LIVING in Marion County, S.C. is on a deed from Moses Hill to Zabon Davis dated Dec 10, 1807 with Benjamin Rawls, J.P.

I next find him on a deed in Marion County, MISSISSIPPI dated 25 Oct 1817 Where William and Sarah Hunt sell Benjamin Rawls 209 acres with Jabus Rawls and Thomas C. Hunt, wits.

See more in my next posting
