Thank you for writing me. I have been corresponding with another researcher who states that it was James Wade Rawls, son of Thomas Wade Rawls, who married the Whitman girl after his first wife, Louisa Sumlin, died.
My grand-aunt, age 90, is the one who is a Rawls. Her father was Calvin Knox Rawls. I would very much like to share with her who her ancestors were.
Please let me know what I have incorrect before I tell her anything.
