Hi Jill,

I checked the family bible and the spelling I have is
Gawthwaite. In fact I have it as Gawthwaite, Subberthwaite. But I also found in my searches that no one spelled everything the same twice. LOL One story I was told was that one of the Rawlinson men was in the navy and died falling off a gangplank while his ship was dockside. I had thought that story belonged to one of the twins but now Im not sure to whom it belongs. When I figure out in which box I packed all my reserarch, I will be able to recall more. Haha.

Please ask Tom, when you see him and if you have time, if he has any info on Margaret Askews Rawlinson parents? Im still trying to work backwards on both Thomas and Maragaret

Amelia
