Stephen,
We believe that "our Ralph" came from Haslington or nearby as all his children were baptised there. We found all the baptism records for his children (including some not listed in the IGI)at the Chester record office. We guess that Ralph was married about 1750 and born about 1725 but unfortunately the parish records for Haslington for this period are missing and thus we have come to a dead stop so to speak. We'll be returning to the Chester CRO again later in the year but I'm pretty sure that we won't find anything else.
