According to the 1989 version of the family of RAVENSCROFT Melvina was aged 4mo in the 1850 census. Her father was Samuel RAVENSCROFT B. 1828. Her mother was Rosanna S HEFFNER.

Rosanna died before 1863 as Samuel married Sarah JONES on 12 Aug 1863. Samuel died in the civil war.
