Father of Malvina(or Melvina) Ravenscroft

I am looking for the father of Malvina (or Melvina) Ravenscroft. He died in the civil war when she was 10. She later went to live with her grandparents in BeaverDam, Ohio. She went on to marry an Ohio farmer with the surname of Coon. They had a daughter named Savilla Coon, who married a New Yorker named Edwin Dwight McCrea. I'm trying to track down Mr. Ravenscroft who died in the civil war. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
