I am in possession of a copy of Ruth Thayer's History of the Ravesncroft Framily. According to her: William was b. 16 March 1864 Thorntown, Boone Co., In. 12 miles from town on a farm. He served as a carpenter and apprentice under Bill Singleton from 1883-1889. Became one of the best of capenters. He built some houses in Leeds.
