Reum or Raum?

I'm beginning to trace my family and have stumbled upon a possible name change. I found a listing for my great grandfather Carl B Reum... but his last name is at first listed as "Raum". The next listing ten years later has the last name as "Reum". I was wondering if anyone has any information that could be of help to me. I spoke to my grandmother who mentioned that her husband (Melvin Reum) father came from Norway and thinks that he changed his name from Raum to Reum. I was just looking for information to support this so I can continue my search.
