Hi, Adam,

I'm trying to trace my Rau family ancestry and wonder if you are able to send me a file of your Rau book, which traces the Rau back to Germany. My maternal g/g//father was Frederck David Rau, who married Augusta Hensel in 1892 in London, England, where they both lived out the rest of their lives. Frederick's father was Ferdinand Rau and Augusta's father was Johann Hensel. To date my German genealogist has been unable to determine the exact German region origins of Ferdinand, Johann, Frederick or Augusta. Frederick was born in 1867 (somewhere in Germany)and migrated to England shortly before the marriage with Augusta Hensel. Frederick and Augusta bore nine children, who were: Edith, Augusta Luise (bn 1893), Frederick, Elsie, Lilly, William, Minnie (my g/mother, bn 20.2.1905), Harry and Florence. I presume that all the named offspring most likely spent all or most of their lives in the U.K. However should you or other forum readers have other connecting information I would be keen to hear from you. I'm now resident in Australia and have noted that other forum participants have detected Australian Rau family connections. All assistance is appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

Jeremy Prichard
