Cathy:
We are related! Your grandfather was my Uncle Abe!My father, Dan, was his brother, which makes him your grand uncle, if there is such a thing.Yes, we have met Abe's second wife, Dorothy, (yeeeeaaaarrrrssss ago)and I believe that he adopted her two boys, who should be grown up by now.My younger sister, Cindy, traveled to Goessel for the big family reunion several years ago, but I was unable to go.It's so nice to have a relative as thoughtful as you who would respond to my e-mail!Which of my cousins in your father or mother?I remember Carl, Betty and Patty.I was at their weddings when I was small and spilled punch all over my mother's dress at both Betty's and Patty's weddings. Was she irritated!I went to Ann's funeral with my father at Christmas the one year.
Well, enough of memory lane.If you feel like it, tell me more about yourself and your family. For example, do you still live in Goessel or even in Kansas?I'd be glad to fill you in on our wing of the family if you want.Once again, I am so glad you responded to the e-mail!
Kind regards,
Suzanne Ratzloff
