Hi James
did your grampa possibly have a brother named Henry? I'm looking for a Henry
Ratz whose dad's name was said to be George. That George is supposed to have
been born at Rockford, and Henry at Elgin; but family legends being what
they are, could easily be off by a town or two! Henry was my (half) sister's
grandfather, and certainly was living in Chicago in 1933. I do not know his
wifes name, but his children were Alvin, Fletcher, Lillian, Edward, Mae,
Mildred, Eleanor & Frances. Thank you, just in case.
