Rathz, Rath, Ratz, Rathy
All the same family but "mispelled" between death and birth certificates, and a newspaper article. I have John, Charles, and Lillian (Wilena Rosalia Rathy on her daughter's birth certificate, Portsmouth, Iowa). Believe John and Charles were in Indianapolis. At least Lillie's mother and father were Henry Ratz and Sophia Walter, Germany, per Lillie's death certificate. I can't confirm whether Charles and John were her brothers, only that they were the uncles, of Lillie's daughter, Helen. Lillie (1860-1948)was thought to be born in Freeport, IL, but Stephenson County can not confirm.
