Faye, I can find only one Andrew Rattray, and he was born in 1703, and married Marrion Moncrieff in Moneydie. He was the son of David Rattray and Elspet Irland. That's not going to be of much help I'm afraid. The family that I know of and am descended from was pretty much centred on Moneydie. I don't believe there was a son named Andrew, which is a bit unusual, given the naming patterns. In later generations though the Andrew name might have reappeared, but this is the only instance of this name that I have recorded. Do you know where in Perthshire your Andrew was from, or was he from Perthshire? All the best. - Janet.
