My Great grandparents came over the border from Canada to the U.S. many years ago. Clifford and Nelda Rattray walked over the border, along with Nelda's mother. The information I have is sketchy at best. I know that Canadian Mounties helped them. Nelda's mom eventually caught polio and was in a walker and braces the rest of her life. I have no information about their life in Canada. I also have no information about who came over from Scotland. The traces I have followed indicate Nova Scotia. I also know of a mysterious "Hugh" who may have come over to Canada from Scotland. If anyone has any further information, I would greatly appreciate it.
