Brenda, I have a RATLIFF connection too.My Ratliffs were from NC. Then went to Ill, on to TX then OK ,KS then CA. Most worked for the Railroad, and moved around a lot. I haven't found John A. Ratliff in my records, but I believe all of them were kin in one way or another. If you need some census, say from 1920 and 1930, I would post on the Record Lookups page of GenForum. Go to the top of your page on the Ratliff Family Forum where it says MY GENFORUM, clike there, this will take you to GENERAL GENEALOGY Click on Record Lookups (4th one down). I think you will get an answer the same day you post. Ask for 1920 and 1930 census fro John A. Ratliff and wife, Leona Walley Ratliff. If you know WHERE and WHEN they were born, include that, and names of children. Dates are important, sometimes a guess will find them. I cannot do lookups anymore, Ancestry.com got too expensive for me to re new it. There is a new FREE site to find d/c's and such. http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#P=0 I have found several death certificates here. good luck, hope you find JOHN A. RATLIFF and Family. Someone may be able to find his Father, and even his Grandfather! Notify Administrator about this message?
