Bourbon Home Telephone Co. is installing phones at $1.25 per month in a residence, $2 in a business. Among those installed since September 1st: "355 RATLIFF, G. W., residence, S Main St."--11 NOV 1904, p. 1.

"Deaths in Fleming County. Mrs. Mary J. ATCHISON, aged seventy three years old, died of pneumonia at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. RATLIFF, in Sharpsburg."--10 APR 1906, p. 1.

"Marston Bros., of near Paris, sold 13 yearling mules to I. N. RATLIFF, of Sharpsburg, at $130 per head."--3 DEC 1907.

"Millersburg Items. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. CARPENTER are spending considerable time with their son-in-law, Mr. Claude RATLIFF, of Carlisle, who is critically ill."--12 MAY 1907.

"Millersburg Items. Mr. and Mrs. William SMITH, of Flemingsburg, Mr. and Mrs. Roland RATLIFF, of Sharpsburg, arrived Friday as guests of their sister Mrs. Claude VIMONT."--20 OCT 1908.

"Walter C. RATLIFF, of Paris, left Wednesday for Lynchburg, Va., where he goes to accept a position in a wholesale grocery establishment."--26 MAR 1909.

"Mr. Hugh ALEXANDER has leased his business house near the L&N depot to Mr. Claude RATLIFF, of Carlisle, and the latter will conduct a restaurant in the storeroom."--2 SEP 1905, p. 5.

"The following invitation has been issued: Mrs. Henrietta Harmon SNYDER requests the honor of your presence at the marriage of her daughter, Zuleme Austin, to Mr. Crockett Bewen RATLIFF, on the evening of Wednesday, the twenty-ninth of December, nineteen hundred and nine, at eight oclock, at the St. James Episcopal Church, Lewisburg, West Virginia."--24 DEC 1909.

The following items are from The Hopkinsville (KY) Kentuckian:

"Colored Wedding. Dr. John T. FLEMISTER and Carrie Lenora RATLIFFE were united in marriage at the home of the bride in this city Thursday night. The affair was quite an event in colored social circles."--10 MAR 1906, p. 1.

"Tract of 109 1/4 acres, near Crofton, estate of Livey SIZEMORE, dec'd, to Mrs. Lucy C. RATLIFF, $526."--8 JUL 1902, p. 1.

J. H. RATLIFF was chosen by the Republican Committee of Princeton, Ky., to be on the ticket for City Council.--15 SEP 1903.

"Jesse RATLIFF Killed By a Train at Kuttawa (KY) Yesterday." From "Crofton, Ky., April 3--John RATLIFF, formerly of this county, was run over by a I. O. train at Kuttawa yesterday morning and killed. He had been living in Lyon county for several years. In 1880 he killed Col. Ed. STARLING at Crofton, while the latter was making a political speech. He was tried on a change of venue at Princeton. He was 55 or 60 years of age and had a wife at Kuttawa and a number of relatives around Crofton."--4 APR 1905, p. 1. The Bee (Earlington KY) 13 APR 1905, p. 4, reported: "Castleberry. Mr. Richard RATLIFF, of Pod, and two Mr. BROWNs, of Clasdy, brother and brothers-in-law of Mr. Jesse RATLIFF, who was killed by a freight train on the I.C.R.R. on the morning of the 3rd inst., attended the furneral at Kuttawa on the 4th inst."

From the Owingsville (KY) Outlook:

"S. J. RATLIFF and E. J. RATLIFF have opened a meat shop under the Owingsville Banking Co. Ice delivered. Phone 73."--27 AUG 1908.

"Jeff and Roll RATLIFF, of Winchester, visited their brothers S. J. and C. S. RATLIFF here last week."--20 JAN 1910, p. 1.

"Mrs. Lou RATLIFF, of Winchester, is visiting her sons Cabe S. and Sam J."--7 JUL 1910, p. 1.

Jeff RATLIFF and wife, of Mt. Sterling, visited the former's brothers Cabe S. and Sam J., last week."--4 AUG 1910, p. 1.

"N. R. RATLIFF, of Winchester, visited his brothers C. S. and S. J. last week."
"Alfred HAVENS, born March 1, 1822, died Sept. 4, and was buried Sept. 6 . . .one of the most prominent citizens of Grange City neighborhood, Fleming county, and was highly esteemed. . . . survived by six children, thirty-eight grandchildren and forty-eight great-grandchildren. . . . The names of his children are: Mrs. Wellington BARNES, of Nevada, Mo.; Mrs. A. S. THOMPSON and Mrs. W. A. BRADLEY, of Fleming County; Mrs. Frank MILLER, deceased; Mrs. J. T. DENTON, of Grenola, Kansas; T. J. HAVENS, of Fleming County; Mrs. William RATLIFF, deceased; S. C. HAVENS, of Athens, Ill.; A. L. HAVENS, deceased."--8 SEP 1910, p. 1.

County Election Boards announced: "Pike--J. G. KLINE, J. E. RATLIFF"--the first name is a Democrat, the second Republican.--The Frankfort (KY) Roundabout, 31 AUG 19007, p. 4.

"Messrs. BLOOMFIELD and RATLIFF, proprietors of the Windchester Auditorium have made special arrangements to have a direct wire run to the stage and will announce the correct (election) results from the stage Tuesday might, November 8. The returns will be received after the regular show. An admission of ten cents will be charged."--The Winchester (KY) News, 3 NOV 1910, p. 1.
