Sorry to bother you again, however I am wondering about my Ratliff line, and your Bible Records; they may fit;
I think that William Ratliff is the son of Richard Ratliff, of Anson Co., NC:
1820*Census Records, Hickman Co., TN
William Rattiff (200010-10010-05)
five total in household...
1830*Census Records, Hickman Co., TN, pg.
William Ratliff (12100001-01010001)
his and her age: 50-59 yrs., old... (b. bef. 1780)
(Note: they should of had two males listed age 10-14 yrs., old, one male child is missing by the 1830 census(perhaps the Richard in your bible records who died 1821?... they have 2 males listed 5-9 yrs. old and one male listed 0-4 yrs., old)
1840*Census Record, Hickman Co., TN, pg.
Mary Ratliff (1 female 50-59 yrs., and 1 female 15-19 yrs.)
(Female Daughter: Nancy (b. 1825) married Wash Vineyard)
I have this line:
William Ratliff(b. 1780 Anson Co., NC-d. bef. 1840 Hickman Co., TN) and wife Mary, they married abt. 1814
Children:
(1) Male (b. 1815) perhaps the Richard Ratliff who died Sept. 10, 1821
(2) Rebecca Ratliff (b. 1817-d. 1902 Hickman Co., TN) married Lancelott Armstrong
(3) Male (b. 1819) alive in 1830
(4) William "Willie" Ratliff (b. 1821) married Mary (perhaps the date of March 10, 1821?)
(5) John Ratliff (b. 1823-d. 1862) married Minerva Ratliff
(6) Nancy Ratliff (b. 1825) married Washington "Wash" Vineyard, abt. 1843
(7) Male Ratliff (b. 1826/1830-d. bef. 1840 census)
I worked on this line years ago; before the wonderful world of computer research, couldn't located many researchers.
Rebecca Ratliff Armstrong, was my Great-Great Grandmother; my Great Grandmother was Mary Ann Armstrong.
1870*Census Records, Bon Aqua Springs, Hickman Co., TN, pg. 8
