Hi Mike! I haven't seen you post anything on the Ratliff's for a while. I'm wondering if you're still around. I've just recently started to research my husband's line in earnest. I've been in touch with Rubo, and she's given me several good leads, which in turn, have led me to you.
My library research led me to William in Lincoln Cty, GA. I think this may be the son of Robert. From your postings, you must also be descended from Robert. Question? I found a marriage record for Hezekiah (who I'm thinking is Wm's bro) in 1815 which means he must've been b. 1795 which means his father Robert would've been 70 when he was born! Can this be?
My line runs back thru Jacob Anderson Ratliff to John Ratliff b. 1799 to John Ratliff b. 1774 to William Ratliff b. 1747.
