Carol - I've recently made contact with JJEvan regarding the Rather-Wheat families. My ggggrandfather was, I believe, your James Rather. My wife, Judi, has been into genealogy for many years; researching mostly her lines. Since we've both retired, it seems that she now has more time to look into my family. I too, have become more interested. In my search, I am also looking for connection to a John W. Miller, born in Allen Co. Ky 1828. My hope is that someone has Millers intermarrying with their lines.
