I would appreciate hearing more from you on your Rath-Luxembourg connection. I have been reasearching my Raths connections in Luxembourg for just over 10 years. Incidently my grandfather was named Nicholas Raths, His parents, my great grandparents came from Angelsberg, Luxembourg, in 1865 and settled in Minnesota--just west of Minneapolis. Another branch of my Raths family came from Luxembourg about 1852 and settled in the Detroit, Michigan area. Still a third branch came from Luxembourg and settled in western Minnesota in 1909
I do know some distant relatives have dropped the s and use just Rath.
