My ancestors were from the Manchester area and I have run into a brick wall in trying to find them. William Ratcliffe born in the 1780's married Matilda Curtis also born in the 1780's. They married in 1805 and had one son, James. I can find no other children born to this couple nor can I find anything about their parents and siblings. I have the feeling that because only one son was born to them that possible one of them died....I would guess Matilda.

Any ideas?
