Some information on Solomon Raser. No knowledge of his parents.

The surname Rauhauser is found in York County, Pennsylvania.Was Rasor/Raser an Americanized version of Rauhauser?John Raser applied in 1794 for land in Hopewell Township, Bedford County, Pennsylvania.
Beginning 1 March 1799 interest was paid by Solomon on 150 acres of Bedford County, Pennsylvania land. The warrant #586 was issued to Solomon Rasor on 29 March 1820 and returned 18 September 1851. The warrant included an improvement adjoining land of Lawrence Oyler on the East, Henry Wiant on the East and North and Margaret Crantz on the West, Jacob Wolf on the South situated in Bedford Township.The survey contained 140 acres plus allowances. The property showed adjacent landowners as Henry Miller, Jacob Walton, John RufordRusord, John Margart, J. Barkley and Lawrence Oiler.The patentee was Daniel Rickle.Solomon Rasor married, Catherina Schweissguth, the daughter of Andreas Schweissguth and Sussannah2 (Mathias1) Blocher Schweissguth about 1803.Solomon’s first child,Benjamin, was born 30 June 1804.The register of Quickel’s Church in Conewago Township, York County, Pennsylvania recorded that their daughter Susana Riser was baptized on 19 September 1805.Sponsors were Jacob and Elizabeth Keller. The 1808 triennial Tax Assessment for Bedford County, Pennsylvania does not include the name of Solomon Rasor.Solomon began paying interest on 100 acres of Bedford County, Pennsylvanialand on 1 March 1812.Warrant #592 was issued to Solomon Rasor on 1 January 1827 and returned 5 April 1827.The patentee was Solomon Rasor.In 1820, Solomon was in Bedford County, Bedford Township, Pennsylvania at that time he had 5 sons and 4 daughters3-2-0-0-1-0-------2-2-0-1-0.(End of the same census page were listed John, George, and Jacob Reizart.)Solomon was between the age of 45-50 and his wife was between the age of 26-45.Three of their sons were less than ten and two were between the ages of 10-16.Two of their daughters were less than ten and two were between the ages of 10-16.In 1824 John and Peter Rickel while residing in Bedford County, Pennsylvania purchased land in Wayne County, Ohio.The100 acres which Solomon, began paying taxes on in 1812, was surveyed in Bedford County, Pennsylvania on 1 January 1827.Solomon Razor signed his name to a deed on 4 June 1827 and Catharina made her mark selling the property for $70.00.The land was near Dunning Mountain and described as joining John Dibert, Joseph Waller/Walter, and Michael Riddle.The deed was not recorded until 28 March 1832.It was surveyed as eighty-eight acres and allowances with the same adjoining landowners as the warrant. After selling the Bedford County property Solomon left Pennsylvania and traveled to Wayne County, Ohio where on 6 March 1829 he was residing in the County when he purchased 80 acres from the U.S. Government.This purchase was described as W. ½ of S. W, 1/4 of Section 1 in Township 23 N. Range 15 W.
