Robin,
In regards to your recent posting on Genforum.I carry out accurate, inexpensive research at New Register House in Edinburgh. This building holds copies of all birth, marriage & death certificates in Scotland since 1855, as well as pre-1855 parish records, and census returns from 1841 – 1901.
Using these sources and the information you have provided, I would be very confident of being able to build a large history of your Rarity family, dating back to around the late 1700’s/very early 1800’s.This would include providing transcripts of all relevant certificates and census returns found.
I am also able to trace descendants of those who remained in Scotland, and have an excellent record of putting people back in touch with lost relations.
If you are interested please contact me by reply e-mail at [email protected] I can provide references from USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, as well as here in the UK.
