This is almost certainly Pvt. George "T." Rarick [the script "F" and "T" that the grave marker was fashioned after look much alike: he was a.k.a. Rarrick] of Mifflin County Pennsylvania. The US Park Service's Civil War Soliers & Sailors web site lists him as a memeber of Company F of the 205th PA Vol. Inf., which is confirmed by his Civil War Pension File Index Card. Also according to his Pension Index Card, he was the son of Jacob B. Rarick of Mifflin County who applied for and received a survivor's pension.According to the 1850 & 1860 Census he was born about 1844 and his mother's name was Margaret. He was buried 1 Feb 1865, which was after the unit was in the lines at Bermuda Hundred, opposite Richmond, but about 4-5 days before their first significant actions. He does not appear in Bates' roster for the regiment, but then Bates' has demonstateable problems [e.g. Westerbrook's history of the 49th PA Vol. Inf. demonstrates many discrepancies within Bates' roster for that regiment].
