Rary/Roehrig connection-NC and PA-ca 1750

Searching for ANCESTOR connection to George Rarey in Rowan Co NC. I find a George Rore (umlat over "o") in 1783 at confirmation on The First Day of Pentecost in the New Church at Second Creek in Rowan Co NC (according to Diary of Johann Gottfried Arends by Jo White Linn). He married (as George Rarey) Magdalena Link in Rowan County in 1788 and is listed on the 1790 census. George (as Roeri) was at Organ Lutheran Church in Rowan about 1792 and owned property on Grant's Creek. He fathered a number of children and left a line of descendants in Rowan Co. Have been unable to identify where he came from, but suspect German community in PA.
