Hello Jurgen,

I am Stephen Rapp from Colorado Springs, CO. My Rapp family's ancestory is from Southeastern Pennsylvania. My brother has done extensive research and we are trying to reconnect with long lost cousins in Germany. Our family generally left the Rhineland area, specifically Wittenburg in the early 1700's. If you like I can link you to my brother and his research. It is my understanding that the Rapp family was originally part of the Germanic Allemani Confederation and were found several hundred years ago mostly in the Rhineland region. We have of course spread out over the years. The Rapp family in the US kept up the German traditions and language until WWI when it became unpopular to speak "Mutterspracht". The Pennsylvania Deutch dialect is still spoken by some religious sects. I've traveled to Germany and love Bayern! It's beautiful. Take Care.

Steve Rapp
