I urge anyone that does not have a proven line back threw your family to take part in the project. It can eliminate a lot of incorrect information. This is the case with David Rankin Sr. of Greene Co. TN. who d. in 1802. Most of the family believed him to be from the Alexander Rankin from PA.. The Rankin DNA Project has proven this not to be the case, we are not related. Anyone interested please contact Hazel Townsend at hazelt@bellsouth.net for more info..
