Yes!I have discovered my Texas Raney line came from Martin/Daviess Co, IN.They came from MD thru Washington Co,KY.The name was Riney in KY, became Raney/Rainey when they came to IN. Seems the branch that went to TX and CA spelled the name Raney, and the branch that went into OH spelled it Rainey/Riney (all lines from Joseph Raney of Martin/Daviess Co two families) and sometimes used all the spellings. The book by Thomas David Riney "Riney, Blandford, Mulligan and O'Daniel Families of Maryland and Kentucky" put me on the right track and I found the verification and proof I needed in Martin Co, IN.The book is excellent, published in 1997 by Patriarch Publications, La Jolla, CA.
My line should be coming out shortly in "Raney Times" by Marynell Bryant and ties in thru Martin Greenberry Raney (son of Joseph Raney and Ruth Silvers) and Katherine Lemar into the lineage on pages 123-126 on "Raney Times", Vol 16, October 1999.
No, I have not posted anywhere else.Have just proven my line to my satisfaction.
