Hi:
I'm wondering if anyone has any data that she was named Jane Isham Randolph or if someone just came along and copied from someone who had something like Jane (d of Isham) Randolph and decided her middle name should be Isham.
Did her parents just name her after each of their first names? Are there any actual documents that show her as Jane Isham Randolph?
Some people have her getting christened on the same day she was supposed to have been born in Shadwell, London. Any hard data on that one? She's all over the place on LDS as well as World Connect and Family World Tree on Ancestry where people have variations on her middle name (none, Jane or Rogers) and birthplace--either various counties in Virginia or England. You can see who copied from who because of all the ** {{ (( >> )) }} ** all over the place.
Some posts have Peter Jefferson's birthdate ranging from 7, 28, or 29 Feb 1706 or 1707; to 8, 28, or 29 Feb 1708 or even MARCH! I guess when newbies see the Quaker calender entry they just panic and pick whichever one they want. You'd think that Thomas Jefferson's father's birthdate could be nailed down.
