I am descended from Joseph (1845-????) and Harriet Randle of Birmingham England, as according to 1881 census. Their son Alfred was my g. grandfather 1873-1952: two of Alfred's three eldest boys, Alf and Ernie, were casualties of WW1, whilst the third son Jack survived, Wilfred, was his 4th son and my grandfather. There were two daughters, one of whom married another Rowley thus my parents were also second cousins. Jack went on to be mayor of Smethwick. 1881 census Joseph Randle Head Marr 36 b Coventry Coal trade Harriet wife Marr 32 b Gt Bridg., Stafford Alfred son 8 b B'ham Harriet daur 4 b B'ham Charlotte daur 1 b B'ham They were resident at 10 Cottage place, Hope St., Birmingham. (ref RG11 folio 1980/81 p. 26) my mum is a Randle descended from Alfred's line, but Charlotte married Tom Rowley my father's grandfather. Hence mum and dad were second cousins. Seeking more information and some clues as to where to go next? Best wishes Tom Rowley Notify Administrator about this message?
