What a lot of Randells! John R. Randell of England m. Jane Champion because the Champions lived in the same County of England. When the ores began to be difficult to mine, many of the miners moved to an area in Illinois, USA where mining was just beginning. For awhile on LDS record it appeared that John had m. a Toffelmier, which was incorrect.
John Randell, SR. f/o John R. Randell, had another son Joseph Broad Randell who carried the maiden name of his mother and maternal grandfather.
The children of John Reed Randell, Sr. & Jane Broad Champion were John Reed Randell, Jr., Joseph Broad Champion Randell, Nancy Jane Broad Randell, James Morley Champion Randell, and Mary Reed Randell.
The John Reed Randell, Jr. m. Eliabeth Caroline Patterson in 1865 in Chicago, IL. Their children were Augusta Jane Randell, Frederick John Randell, Wm. Henry Randell, Frank Randell, & Harry Robert Randell.
John Reed Randell (JR) died 1879 in Nelson, Nuckolls Co., NE, where he and his brothers were building a court-house in Nelson, Nuckolls Co., Nebraska. Lots of Randells.
